Our Process
We take a collaborative approach to interior design, working closely with our clients to ensure that every detail is just right. We provide detailed renders on all of our full-service designs so you can see our vision before we start. This ensures that our clients are confident and informed throughout the entire process and our trades know exactly how to execute the design.
Preferred Partners
We believe the most successful projects happen when the right people are at the table from the very beginning. Architecture, construction, and design are deeply collaborative disciplines, and clarity around roles and relationships is what allows a project to move from concept to completion without losing its soul along the way.
On the architecture side, we regularly collaborate with a small group of firms whose work we trust implicitly. These include Studio105 Architecture, founded by Megan DiNicola, Jonathan Rivera Architecture, and Transforming Architecture, led by Karen Moser. Each brings a thoughtful, highly technical approach to planning and detailing, with a shared respect for proportion, context, and the realities of how homes are actually lived in.
For construction, we partner with builders who understand that good design lives or dies in the execution. Our preferred teams include McWhorter Construction, Ferraro Custom Builders led by Orion Ferraro, and TW Boys & Co.. These are contractors who respect drawings, communicate clearly, and understand the nuance required to blend historic character with new construction seamlessly.
When it comes to finding the right place to call home, we work with trusted real estate partners who understand not just the market, but the long view.
In the D.C. and Maryland region, we often collaborate with Lisa Frazier of Long & Foster as well as Heather Foley with Compass, both of whom bring sharp market insight, discretion, and a deep understanding of how homes evolve over time. On the Eastern Shore, Coard Benson is our go-to resource for clients seeking properties with architectural integrity, land value, and long-term potential.
Beyond architects and builders, we maintain a deep Rolodex of trusted trades. Painters and wallpaper hangers who understand historic substrates.
